# Retrieve one account and balance

> Retrieve one account and balance

See [authentication, signing, data conventions, and errors](https://docs.stablepayfi.ai/en/api/global-accounts/overview). Regenerate the timestamp, nonce, and signature on every retry.

`GET /account/{account_no}` Returns one account by number with fields at the top level.

## Request headers

**Authorization** `string` *required*

Bearer API Key.

**X-StablePay-Timestamp** `string` *required*

Unix seconds, within five minutes of server time.

**X-StablePay-Nonce** `string` *required*

Unique per request, 16–64 characters.

**X-StablePay-Signature** `string` *required*

Lowercase hexadecimal HMAC-SHA256 signature for the exact request body.

## Request parameters

**account\_no** `string` *required*

8-digit account number

**merchant\_id** `string`

10 digits; omit for merchant apps, required for service-provider apps

## Response

Display name

**currency** `string` *required*

Currency or asset code

**status** `string` *required*

active or restricted

**is\_system\_default** `boolean` *required*

System default account

**editable** `boolean` *required*

Whether renaming is allowed

Available balance

**frozen\_amount** `integer` *required*

Frozen balance

**total\_amount** `integer` *required*

Total balance

**created** `integer` *required*

Creation time

**as\_of** `integer` *required*

Observation time

## Status and errors

400 malformed number; 404 when missing or owned by another merchant.
