Issuing U Card is StablePay’s business card product for merchants. Merchants can register through the StablePay Portal, submit business verification materials, and, once approved, create USD budgets, fund them from StablePay Global Account, issue virtual cards, and review authorizations, transactions, fees, and funding records inside the Portal. The initial release focuses on corporate spending and operational scenarios, helping merchants manage stablecoin funds and virtual card expenditures within a single StablePay account system.

Use Cases

When you need to create manageable virtual USD cards for teams, advertising accounts, or vendor spending, Issuing U Cards is the appropriate solution. Common scenarios include:
  • Creating dedicated virtual cards for advertising spend and isolating budgets
  • Setting up independent spending pools for different teams, projects, or business lines
  • Creating corporate cards for software subscriptions, operational tools, and vendor payments
  • Centralized viewing of authorizations, spending, refunds, and fee records in the Portal
  • Direct funding of card budgets from the StablePay Global Account
If you need to collect payments from external sources, please use Stablecoin Checkout, Invoicing, or Payment Links.

How to Activate

The onboarding process for merchants to activate Issuing U Cards is as follows:
  1. Register your merchant account through the StablePay Portal and sign in.
  2. Complete StablePay KYB in the Portal and submit the materials required for U Card activation.
  3. StablePay’s merchant team reviews your business information, verification status, and card-program eligibility.
  4. Once approved, Issuing becomes available in the Portal and you can start creating budgets and virtual cards.

How It Works

  1. The merchant registers through the Portal and completes KYB and U Card activation review.
  2. The merchant creates a USD Budget in the Portal as the funding pool for card spending.
  3. The merchant funds the Budget from their StablePay Global Account.
  4. The merchant selects an appropriate card program and creates virtual cards.
  5. Cards are used for corporate spending, and the merchant can view authorizations, transactions, refunds, reversals, and fee records in the Portal.

Budget and Funding

The Budget is a shared USD funding pool for card spending. Cards do not hold balances individually; multiple cards can share the same Budget. Phase 1 funding rules include:
  • Funding source is StablePay Global Account
  • Supports funding Budgets from stablecoin accounts
  • Stablecoin deposit fee is 0.3%
  • Minimum funding amount is 100 USDT / 100 USDC / 100 USD
This design is suitable for quickly converting stablecoin account balances into team-usable card budgets.

Transactions and Funding Records

Issuing U Cards categorizes card spending into two easily understandable record types in the Portal:
  • Authorizations: Authorization stage records, helping merchants view pending or reversed card authorizations
  • Transactions: Final transaction results, including successful, failed, refunded, and reversed statuses
Funding Records centrally display all records affecting Budgets or merchant funds, such as:
  • Global Account to Budget top-ups
  • Stablecoin deposit fees
  • Transaction-related fees
  • Card creation fee waivers
  • Other budget adjustments and fee deductions

Important Notes

  • Issuing U Card is available after the merchant registers through the StablePay Portal, completes KYB, and is approved by StablePay’s merchant team.
  • Phase one supports Budget Card and virtual cards only. Physical cards and prepaid cards are not included.
  • Merchant API access is not available in phase one; the product is used through the StablePay Portal.
  • LS BIN is only for media buy use cases.
  • Card quantity limits, card-program permissions, and risk controls may vary by merchant configuration.
  • The Portal shows StablePay’s unified product and fee presentation and does not expose the underlying issuing provider name.
